Indian Stock Market Today: Sensex and Nifty ends in flat after continuous fall since last three days  whereas Bank Nifty closed at 26825.50, gained 252 points higher than the previous close. The top performing sectors are Metals, Banks, Media whereas Oil and Gas, Telecom sectors are the losers.


Indian Stock Market Result update: Third Quarterly


Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) reported lower than expected third quarterly result and the stock fell around 4 percent since yesterday. Yesterday, after market hours Axis Bank declared strong Q3 result, its profit doubles and asset quality also improves. The stock moved up more than 5 percent in the morning.

Stock Market Global Cues


In the global front, China tried to boost lending for its slowing economy and International Monetary Fund (IMF) has cut it world economic growth forecast. Today FED is going to conclude its two days policy-meeting. As per FED officials its sounds like this time they are pausing..... The US Central Bank is going to release their policy statement by today evening.

Two-Days Events in Stock Market:


Coming three days market would be highly volatile due to  Nifty and Bank Nifty monthly expiry, Interim Budget 2019 and third day on post budget analysis. Tomorrow market is going to open as per the outcome of two-days FED meeting and global cues.

Nifty Technical Levels for Expiry 31-01-2019

Primary Trend:  Down to Sideways

Range Bound Trend: All up moves initiates Profit Booking (Sale) @ 10670 whereas all down moves initiate Short Covering (Buy) @ 10597

If Nifty moves above 10645 then you should Buy with 1st Target of 10687 during the day with a Stop Loss of 10620 For the Target of 10687-10707-10728 - 10753

If Nifty moves below 10620  then you should Sell with 1st Target of 10579 during the day with a Stop Loss of 10640 FOR the Target of 10579-10558-10537 - 10512

Bank Nifty Technical Levels for Expiry 31-01-2019


Primary Trend: Sideways

Range Bound Trend: All up moves initiates Profit Booking (Sale) @ 26890  whereas all down moves initiate Short Covering (Buy) @ 26745

If Bank Nifty moves above 26845 then you should Buy with 1st Target of 26932 during the day with a Stop Loss of 26785 For the Target of 26932-26975-27020-27075 

If Bank Nifty moves below 26785  then you should Sell with 1st Target of 26701 during the day with a Stop Loss of 26845 FOR the Target of 26701-26655-26615 -26560

Conclusion:


Though Sensex and Nifty closed in flat Bank Nifty gained 252 points today. As discussed in our last report the positive movement in Bank Nifty is because of the strong Q3 result of Axis Bank and expectation of positive result in ICICI Bank. 

As mentioned above the primary trend of Nifty and Bank Nifty is down to sideways but in the next two/three days the Indian stock market will move mainly on news based.  It is always better to avoid trading on these days because the market would be highly volatile.
